Bio

I graduated from Southern Utah University in 2023 with a BFA and emphasis in illustration. I have participated in gallery exhibitions in The Braithwaite Gallery,  Gallery 209, and Southern Utah Museum of Art. I now work as a freelance graphics and brand designer in southern Utah and participate as a vendor in local art fairs and festivals. My education taught me that communication through art as a universal language can convey ideas and feelings with remarkable precision. 

 

Artist’s Statement
 

In my multi-media artworks I utilize the organic integrity of water based paints like watercolor, gouache, and acrylic wash with big, fluffy brushes to capture the soft, flowing rhythms of nature, sometimes throwing more water than paint onto the paper and letting it bleed into form. I mainly use bright, saturated colors to convey dreamy worlds that often depict mysterious or silly creatures and delicate figures with moving emotional countenance. The most satisfying stage of my painting process is finishing my pieces in fine, delicate detail either digitally or with superfine brushes and colored pencils.
